It was the seventeenth of March in the year twenty-twentieth when it was announced that the whole of Luzon would be subjected to enhance community quarantine. I remember back then that almost everyone had fear and apprehension in their eyes and emotions because not everyone would get what they needed. Many people lost their jobs, so many families went hungry. Many branches of government have abused so they have not given the entire budget that should be given to the people. They put their own welfare before the people they touch. Many people are sad because they can no longer do what they used to do outside. And I’m already one of them. Because I’m only a thirteen -year -old girl, I can’t leave our house. But social media is one of the things that took away my loneliness inside the house. There I also discovered the instrument called kalimba. It is an instrument from Africa, it is one of their traditional instruments. It is an instrument similar to the piano but you hold it fully by your palm and you play it with your fingers and nails. Why nails? Because your thumb hurts much faster if you have short nails, so it is more likely that before you buy them you have long nails. It’s not like supee long, just right. The kalimba also has a beautiful and melodious sound. It’s great to listen to especially if you know how to work its tabs. I also liked this instrument because it is easy to use because by simply tapping with your fingers on its tines you can create sound. Unlike a guitar, which requires different hand grips to create different sounds and tones. The kalimba is one of the great instruments I’ve discovered this quarantine iand it’s better to focus on this and give time than to be on the cellphone all day. It’s great to focus on now in quarantine, because apart from being able to create sounds and be able to make your favorite songs it’s a talent that you can be proud of to other people.
