Thank you!!! I haven’t tried a new instrument in 10 years and I saw lots of people posting songs online that look like ‘1° 2° 5° 2° (1° 1 3 5)’ and I was so confused on what that was saying. My Kalimba arrives in the mail today and I’m so excited to start learning again. I did piano as a child but fell out of it and I think this will be similar enough that I can pick up alright.

‘ = higher octave
. (dot) = pause/rest or lower octave
What does it mean when theres a degree symbol before and after the number
Each dot means that the note is one octave higher C -> C*- >C**
What does brackets around one number mean?
