This pandemic has thought me a lot of lessons. Quarantine made me think “How can I become more productive and develop myself?” It also made me realize that it is the perfect time to find my talent or skill I am not aware I can do. I am really not a music inclined person, I don’t sing and don’t play any musical instrument because I always feel that it wasn’t for me or I can’t do it. But I feel this urge inside me that I just have to find the right instrument for me to play. Then, I saw the Kalimba. My sister, being supportive, bought us Kalimba as birthday gift. It really made me happy that I literally jump because of joy. Since then, I started teaching myself, watching tutorials on youtube, and then making my own covers. It makes me feel at peace and calm especially during those times that I played it. It delivers me to my own world where I can be free and safe. I found a home and haven in playing Kalimba. I finally found my talent, something that I can be proud of myself.
