The COVID 19 pandemic brought us so many challenges and problems. Many people suffered and mourned. Each one of us felt so lonely and sorrowful, but that was not the end for me. When I first listened to the music of kalimba, my soul has been lifted up.
I never regret that I accidentally opened a video on youtube that contains a cover of kalimba. I really felt so down that time, but kalimba has touched my soul. I was really amazed knowing that there is an instrument like that. Listening to it makes my heart very happy, so I listened to many different covers of kalimba in youtube. They never failed to make me smile.
The day I got my own kalimba was very unforgettable. I practiced so hard to learn a song. I wanted to let other people feel what I felt when I listened to the sound of kalimba. I wanted to make them happy and overwhelmed by its music, and i did not fail to my goal. Many people felt happy by listening to the sound of this instrument. They temporarily forgot all their problems when they listened to the sound of kalimba.
Playing kalimba is not only about memorizing tabs or successfully completing a song, but it is about making other people happy whenever they listen to the sound of this wonderful instrument. This pandemic brought us so much pain and sorrows, but music is still there for us to lift up our soul.
