  • No, I didn't have a teacher. But I learned to play kalimba through youtube, by watching tutorials. From there, I learned to make my own arrangements and stuff, since I have a background knowledge in music already.

  • I saw an ad on facebook, a worship song played on a kalimba and I was amazed to see such wonderful instrument. I played other instruments as well, and it's no question why I was inspired to learn the kalimba as well.

  • The first piece I learned was "Canon in C", kalimba arrangement by Ms. April Yang. It took me weeks to memorize the placing of the tines but I got the hang of it.

  • So far, I can play 6 instruments. Of course if given the chance, I'd like to learn other instruments too!
I play piano/keyboard, guitar, ukulele, lyre harp, glockenspiel (lyre) and kalimba of course!

  • I've always been fascinated by Beethoven's music. I grew up hearing my brother play his pieces on the piano. And whenever I hear it, it just calms me down.

  • I play online games like rpg/mmorpg. I also like to read (books) and write stories. I love baking too!

  • It sounds cliche but, "Practice makes perfect". That way, your fingers will memorize the placement of the tines and it'll make learning more easy!
Also, if you're really eager to learn and you come to love the instrument, everything else will follow.
