Out of nowhere, bored, looking for something to learn, kalimba comes up to my mind. That is way back December 2020. I started from small, I download a simple kalimba app and played it for months. My curiosity in this instrument exceeded widely. I even question myself what does it feels like to touch and play an actual kalimba, is it nice? Or better than what i think about it. Months and days focusing to learn songs, I decided to buy a very cheap hollow kalimba, and I’m so fluttered to hold and play it. It is a great experience to use an actual kalimba – it’s my dream! Since my journey in playing kalimba started, from small to big dreams, will my curiosity, excitement, and passion in playing kalimba come to an end? because I dreamed of something and it happened. Well, the answer to that is no. I will continue to dream and aspire more about this kalimba. Let’s change those simple dreams to a serious dream, wherein I will start to dream more and make it possible, a dream that is worth trying, a serious dream that will encourage myself and every individuals who is interested about it. And that dream is to try more kalimbas and do more covers to inspire more people. Almost 6 months of playing kalimba, I’ve grown so much and I wanted to try more new kalimba. I hunger for learning about this instrument and let my curiosity extend without limits. My journey in playing kalimba is a difficult mountain to conquer – and I’m excited to see more of it. I hope that this new kalimba will help me to create more covers, build another chapter to grow, to be a better kalimba player and most important to be the best version of myself. ❤️
