• How old are you when you started playing kalimba?:

  I am 15 years old when I found out how good the instrument is. Two years later, I am playing kalimba through an application (Kalimba Real) since I have the real one.

• How did you learn to play kalimba? Did you have a teacher?:

  I played it my own. I learned playing them by watching YouTube videos, such those who are playing them and giving a tutorial on how to play them! Kudos to these YouTubers!✨

• What inspired you to learn how to play the kalimba?:

  My friend passed away when I was in 10th grade, I got depressed. Then, one tiem by scrolling on my YouTube feed, I saw one cover of PlayDate by Melanie Martinez which is her favorite song.

  I was inspired by the one who is playing it, ate Sandra.

• What was the first piece you learned?:

  Kiss the Rain by Yiruma was my first piece. I think that one song always removes my sadness.

• How many instruments do you play and what are they?:

  Kalimba and Xylophone, just the two of them.

• Which famous musicians do you admire? Why?:

  Taylor Swift was my all time favorite musicians. She's a genius lyricist that's why I am admiring her. She also good at creating melodies and songs that I haven't heard before.

• Do you have any hobbies or interests outside of music?:

  I do love blogging and writing poems.

• If you could give someone learning the kalimba a piece of advice that helped you the most, what would it be?:

  Since I am still a begginer, I wanted to tell him/her/they/them that anyone can be a begginer, again. Learn everything and never stop searching.

  Kalimba is an instrument that is not easy to play, but learning on how to play it will make it easire. ❤❤❤❤ Goodluck, young players!
