The Arabic opening theme for the anime Romeo’s Blue Sky (originally Romeo no Aoi Sora) is titled “عهد الأصدقاء” (Ahdu Al-Asdiqa’), which translates to “Pledge of Friends.” This version holds a special place in the hearts of many Arabic-speaking fans, particularly those who watched it on Spacetoon during the early 2000s.
Romeo’s Blue Sky is part of the World Masterpiece Theater series and is based on the novel Die Schwarzen Brüder by Lisa Tetzner. The story follows a young boy named Romeo who is sold into child labor as a chimney sweep in 19th-century Milan. The narrative focuses on themes of friendship, struggle, and perseverance.
