I was 20 years old when I started playing kalimba.
-
I learned through tutorials on your website and I also watched videos on YouTube.
-
One day as I was browsing through my phone, I saw a video of someone playing the kalimba and from there, I became more and more interested in this instrument until I had my first one. It was around December 2020 when I got my first kalimba. I also created a YouTube channel so I could track my progress.
-
The first song I learned to play on a kalimba was "A Thousand Years" by Christina Perri. It's one of my favorite songs.
-
Aside from kalimba, I also play the guitar. I've been playing it since I was 15 years old.
-
Taylor Swift. Her songs inspire me. SHE inspires me. I became interested in music and started learning to play the guitar because of her.
-
I also do clay art and painting sometimes.
-
Practice a song that you really like or you're familiar with. Take note that you don't have to play it fast because it will only take longer to learn if you do. Just take it easy.
Remember that it takes time to learn something new, so do not pressure yourself. You'll get there, too 🙂
