A very old and famous Scottish folk song going back to the violent Jacobite risings of 1688–1746. Aggressively anti-Jacobite in their initial version, the lyrics were somewhat toned down by Robert Burns. The diatonic arrangement below is very basic, I am including the lyrics for reference.
