How old are you when you started playing kalimba?:
I was 16 years old when I started playing kalimba.
How did you learn to play kalimba? Did you have a teacher?:
No, I'm self-taught. I also have YouTube so there's no need for a teacher.
What inspired you to learn how to play the kalimba?:
Wayback 2019, as I was scrolling through Facebook, I encountered a video of a person playing kalimba in front of his dog. I was amazed by the sound and the uniqueness of it, and that's when I started to be interested in kalimba.
What was the first piece you learned?:
The first song I practiced on kalimba was Still the One by Shania Twain.
How many instruments do you play and what are they?:
I play two instruments, a kalimba, and a ukulele.
Which famous musicians do you admire? Why?:
The musician I admire the most is Ed Sheeran. His songs are marvelous, it's just out of this world.
Do you have any hobbies or interests outside of music?:
I do diamond painting and I am also a binge-watcher.
If you could give someone learning the kalimba a piece of advice that helped you the most, what would it be?:
The most simple advice I'd give to beginners who are trying to learn how to play the kalimba is to not quit. You may do a lot of mistakes, but remember that mistakes are proof of your progress.
