Officially designated as a cultural treasure of Andalusia this traditional Spanish song was collected by Federico García Lorca. The tune was also used for the Civil War song “Los Cuatro Generales”. The English version of the latter,”The Four Insurgent Generals”, was famously sung by American baritone Paul Robeson.
