It’s been a year since the lockdown started and almost a year when I arranged my first kalimba cover. My obsession with kalimba started when I saw a youtube song cover. Days after installing my kalimba app, I already made my first kalimba arrangement with the song “Doors” by Ben&Ben. From there, I didn’t stop playing kalimba until one day I realized it would be so amazing if I would have an actual kalimba so I would not be doing song covers on kalimba app anymore. There’s no music store that sells kalimba in our province and I need to buy it online so buying a kalimba will be quite expensive for me and due to pandemic, I think I should use my small savings to something important and I should set aside my dream of having a kalimba. But there’s still other way to have a kalimba, by joining giveaways. So I found this group All About Kalimba and I joined their giveaway contest. I won the 2nd place and finally I have my first kalimba. From that day onwards it became my bestfriend and I started to appreciate the sound and the beauty of an actual kalimba. I’m still arranging songs today and hopefully someday I will be as good as my kalimba inspirations.
