• How did you learn to play kalimba? Did you have a teacher?:

  I did not have a teacher. I learned through YouTube.

• What inspired you to learn how to play the kalimba?:

  What inspired me is the thought of bonding with the people around me through music with an instrument of my own. It is such a beautiful instrument to play and the sound it makes reduces my stress.

• What was the first piece you learned?:

  The first piece I learned was You Are My Sunshine.

• How many instruments do you play and what are they?:

  One. Kalimba is the only instrument I can play (for now).

• Which famous musicians do you admire? Why?:

  Taylor Swift. I just love her songs and how she writes them based on her life/personal experiences.

• Do you have any hobbies or interests outside of music?:

  Yes. I love reading books, writing, and drawing.

• If you could give someone learning the kalimba a piece of advice that helped you the most, what would it be?:

  Start simple and don't rush mastery. Mastery takes time and even the masters aren't perfect. So strive for progress and just enjoy playing.
